The Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Omran Center for Strategic Studies, an independent Syrian policy think tank established in 2013. Headquartered in Damascus, with offices in Turkey and the United States, Omran focuses on political, security, governance, and sustainable development analysis.
Dr. Kahf is also a founding board member of the Syrian Forum. He holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Islamic Studies from UCLA, with research interests in governance, power-sharing, and political transitions in Syria, as well as broader Middle East geopolitics.
He actively participates in Track II diplomacy, regional forums, and strategic policy dialogues on Syria and the region.
